This is the current term which which is being delivered from November to early December 2023.

Composition is the very foundation of any artwork and can often make or break a painting. Simply put, composition is the practice of arranging shapes, values colours and textures to create harmony and meaning in a work of art.

Dave will guide students through a range of subjects from landscape, still life, figure studies and the purely abstract to explore how different artists have harnessed their skills of composition to lead the eye and keep the viewer engaged with the artwork using different patterns and combinations of colour, values, shapes and patterns.

The next 6-week term is open for enrolment and commences on the week of the 30th October.

Each week there is an easy-to follow pre-recorded lesson plan delivered through illustrated text and video. There are also weekly live online class sessions each Wednesday from 1-2.30pm where Dave will be on hand to guide and help you through any questions or painting problems that you might encounter.

The fee for participation is €160
